Porto Moniz.

A l’extrémité nord-ouest de l’île de Madère, la municipalité de Porto Moniz présente un littoral découpé. Au-delà de cet îlot qui fait face à l’ancien fort St Jean-Baptiste, le village est réputé pour ses piscines naturelles creusées par l’océan dans la roche volcanique. Aujourd’hui, ces piscines naturelles sont aménagées afin de faciliter l’accès aux baigneurs et de sécuriser la baignade. La barrière de rochers protège le bassin des vagues de l’Atlantique, car la côte nord est beaucoup plus exposée au vent et donc aux tempêtes que la côte sud. De façon générale, le littoral madérien se prête assez peu à la baignade. Les plages naturelles sont composées au mieux de galets au pire de gros cailloux peu confortables. Deux plages de sable existent, une naturelle à Caniçal, et une artificielle à Calheta.

Intéressante composition avec ce premier plan fleuri, bonne mise au point sur ce sujet avec le bon effet de l'arrière plan de la côte avec ces falaises.

Composition originale. La mise au point sur la fleur témoigne d'une certaine bravoure en laissant dans le flou cette falaise qui plonge dans la mer.

Bonjour Delphine,

Your image is certainly attractive with the distinctive blue flowering plant in the foreground standing out against the rocky cliff and sea in the background.

However, the focus of the image does not seem to match the emphasis of your note. Because the blue flower seems to be the main subject of the image, I expected to read about it in your note. It is one of those images where the clever use of depth-of-field is important to convey the message that you intend the viewer to receive.
(I hope this critique is OK with you, I am just trying to give you an objective point of view which might be helpful to you.)

Bonjour Delphine,
The flower arrangement and the choice of selective focus is excellent. I like the beautiful blue flower with all nice details. The overall arrangement with nicely blurred brown rock in background is superb.

Hello Delphine,
interesting framing which shows some rocky coastline through the plants in the foreground. I like their variety as well as the exotic (for me ) look. Nice use of tight framing and natural colors add to this picture.
