Photographer's Note
Dom Luis Bridge, connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia on the Douro River is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1996.
The work was awarded on November 21, 1881 the company Société Willebreck in Brussels, it was Théophile Seyrig , Gustave Eiffel disciple, and author of the bridge project, a representative example of architecture and century iron techniques XIX.
The bridge consists of two metal trays supported by a large arc of iron and five pillars. The bow is 172 m, the upper tray has 392 m in length and less than 174 m in length.
