Photographer's Note
This is "Nossa Senhora dos Remédios" church, located at Lamego. This amazing construction is one of the most visited catholic places in Portugal and, defenitely one of the most beautiful temples in this country. It was builded in a high place in this town, so you can see it from almost all places here, and it has hundreds of stairs so that you can climb it since the town´s center to the church.
I choosed this composition and title since, in my opinion, today´s Church (the catholic one...) seems to loose some power, since they tend to not follow the evolution of the mentalities and with this kind of atitude, the Church is loosing more and more people around the world...the use of condoms and the fact of not let the priests to have a family as they sould, are only 2 examples...so, was this idea that i was trying to explore with this composition, with the trees silhouettes looking like tentacles surronding a Church that each day that passes has more and more difficulty in becoming free itself of this situation...

You really managed to set the mood that you wanted here. I thought so even without reading your note. Funny thing is, i was thining about the same when lookng at the picture the first time. It's a creepy photo, and i mean that in a good way. Effective composition.

Bien Marco

You over saturated to give the pic a dramatic mood, I guess, and the result is interesting. It looks like a painting.
However, in my opinion the feeling would have been stronger if you could have taken the shot a bit earlier, I mean with a sky not too dark and above all with some clouds.
Black and orange tones fit well together, but may be it is too contrasted (unless it was intentional from you, in that case sorry for my bad understanding of your pic).

There is quite a bit of digital noise in this image, but I love the scene with the gnarled branches in front of this lovely facade. Colors are very lovely, and I really like your point of view.

Very nice. You are becoming a night shot specialist. Specially the eerie night shot specialist. :-)
Very nice shot. It looks like cracks in the church. So scary and eerie. Great shot.

Wow, I really like your notes and the way they highlight and improve an already impressive photo. On top of that, I agree with you - and am constantly trying nightshots witout succes.
Congratulations on this one.
