Photographer's Note
This picture was originally taken in Alentejo, south of Portugal! Alentejo is know by the tasty food, the popular parties and the ancient culture living underground for centuries. For these, Alentejo is a "highway" to pilgrimages, they are thousands every year!
In Alentejo, you can feel the hottest temperature we have in Portugal, sometimes with 35 to 40 degrees Celcius "on shadow" (in Portuguese we use to say "à sombra"), which means, if you sit under a tree expecting for a low temperatue, just forget it, there are no low temperatures there!
For all of this all the houses are white and painted every single year. But in order not to have white villages or cities and also to give more brightness and happiness to there houses, people started painting a frame around the windows and doors with a diferent and strong but happy colour, that can goes from the sea blue, the dark blue , the green to the most common and the one i present you, the yellow! Then, a huge stripe from the same colour of the frame was added to these houses as you see in the picture!
it´s worth to see not only the houses but all Alentejo, there are much more, Castles of the Templars, cities with other cities underground, most of them of the Templars too, Ruins, Temples, bones, mummies, every thing is there!
If you don´t know this place, please visit it, it´s very beatiful!
Have a nice weekend

It really looks beautiful, Brino. The warm colors and the well captured texture. I only think that you could fix the light tilt in order to make it perfect. Well done.

Imagem muito bonita. a notar apenas uma ligeira falta de cor e a sombra a "estorvar"

Very nice composition...very graphical...good compination of colours, light and shadows. Did you try to crop the white wall above the window so the diagonal shadow to be in the diagonal of your pic? I think you can also try it to see how it works.

Simple but very nice composition. I didn't had the idea to do such pictures on colorful houses from Mexico. Here I like also the diagonal made by the shadow. Very well done!

Foto muito simples mas eficaz, Bruno; o excelente contraste entre o amarelo e o verde, o branco e as sombras bem como o descentramento da janela, agradaram-me bastante. Bom trabalho!
