Hi TE friends

This is the Belém Palace

I wish you a nice weekend !

The Palace situated in Belém quarter, formerly a royal palace, is nowadays the headquarters of the Portuguese Republic Presidency.

The Palace is composed by a central building completed with other five buildings with the main façade facing the gorgeous Tagus river.

Once the President of the Portuguese Republic is in the building, a green flag with the national arms
is hoisted.

Next to the Pátios dos Bichos ramp every 3rd Sunday of each month, at 11 o'clock, takes place the Solemn Changing of the Guard, performed by the Belém National Palace guard of honour.
