This is the typical landscape of some areas North of Lisbon. I wonder why I know so little this region that looks so promising photo wise and it is so close to where I live (just a 30 minutes drive away from home).

Hi José,

It took a visit from Serghei for me to finally make my way to the Grand Canyon last year, crazy how we take for granted what's in our own " back yard's," right? :) Only a 30 minute drive from your place, just a hop, skip and a jump from such scenic beauty...I envy your location. The undulating landscape is simply beautiful, and made all the more attractive at sunset. This is a lovely and inviting panorama, and would welcome anyone, tourists and locals alike. :)Thanks for sharing part of your immediate region with the rest of us. Take good care. Al the ebst.

its funny to hear that you've been on TE for 8 years. Its because you went away for awhile and I've only gotten to know you very recently :)

I feel the same way about beautiful places so close to where you live...its just natural to think you'll go there 'tomorrow'...but tomorrow never really comes!

what a scene! I plan to visit Portugal next summer, but the north, Douro valley. I like to rent a house or an old Quinta. I hope I will have the opportunity to take photos of similar landscapes!
