Photographer's Note

At Alcobertas you find this very peculiar church. On one side you see a dolmen that is now part of the church. This dolmen is a funerary megalithic monument dating from 4000/3000 BC, and was christianised in unknown period.
It was used as a chapel and later as main altar of the church until the 18th century. After that the church was changed to it's present position and the dolmen became a side chapel. The church was repaired in the 50's loosing is baroque chaacteristics.
