Happy Easter for all Trekkers and their families.

Memories from the Seixal TE-Meeting one week ago. The wisterias in Quinta da Fidalga.

- Quinta da Fidalga is a historical monument in the town of Seixal, on the left side of magnificent bay.

Its foundations in the XVI century are related with Paulo da Gama, famous irmão of Vasco da Gama, who went to Seixal to assist in the constructions of ships which were to take him to India.

In Quinta da Fidalga there are some trees from the XVIII century, which make the gardens of la Quinta a unique and valuable complex.
palace, big and simple, looks like a manor in the country. White with reddish roofs, it belonged to Paulo da Gama and later to Vasco da Gama.

Hello Malgorzata, This is a lovely building, as your note indicates, actually a palace. I like the trees fronting the structure which gives more depth to the picture. Lovely flowering tree on the right side and what appears to be a wall in the foreground. Gee, even I have heard of Vasco da Gama, I think he used to post here on TREK. An interesting picture and very interesting note too! But beautiful colours of the vegetation in the foreground, going from bluish red to yellowish green. The tree behind provides a fine graphical pattern.
