Hi TE friends,

Last weekend, I did a trip in the Arrábida Mountain Natural Park, by an invite of Emi Bolacha.

During the trip we visited the JMF cellars and enjoyed the famous ‘Piriquita’ wine and Moscatel.

After visit the Arrabida Mountain, in the way to Setubal, we can see amazing landscapes like this one.

The picture was made from the panoramic bus moving. More or less 500 meters we have the Figueirinha Beach in the Bay of Setubal

In the WS, we have two small picture of this beach. Those picture were not made by me.

Figueirinha Beach
Situated right in the Arrábida Mountain Natural Park, this is a beach of great natural beauty. In fact, the crystalline and peaceful ocean and the amazing natural beauty of the surrounded landscape make of Figueirinha beach one of the most famous beaches in the region and therefore, quite frequented during summer time.

This beach is in the bay of Setubal

The bay of Setubal, located at the immediate south of Lisbon, corresponds to the estuary of Rio Sado. This cut out estuary is leaned with the buttresses of Serra da Arrábida and separate Atlantic Ocean by the peninsula of Troia; 23000 ha are classified in natural reserve.

Setubal, 3è city of Portugal, falls under the great maritime history of the country of which it is currently is one of the principal ports. It is an industrialized city whose history goes back to at least 2000 years with in particular a roman (Cetobriga), moslem and medieval (walls) period , then XVI and XVII centuries (castle of S. Filipe).

Natural heritage:
Reserva Natural do Estuário do Sado :salted meadows; dolphins, hérons, white storks, Flemish pink, ducks, birds raptors and the European otter, the deer…

Cultural heritage:
Fortress of Sao Filipe (16th century), gastronomical richness (fish, wines, cheeses,..), fishing with sardine

Olá Aires, aqui estou eu a tentar recuperar o tempo perdido...Muito interessante captura do autocarro, cheia de movimento. Aquelas dois barcos fazem a foto mas também adoro as cores da água.

A superb beachscape, with a very informative & interesting note. I like the incredible turquoise colour of the sea, contrasting against the olive green fg vegetation. The 2 speedboats & their wakes make good bg focal points. Tfs! Parabens!

Esta é a praia da minha infância, onde íamos mais vezes.
É pena o autocarro não ter parado. De qualquer modo ficou bonita a água e o dinamismo dado pelos barcos.

What a wanderul beach!! Colors are amazing. Doesn't matter the blurred branches, I like this place and boats passing there.

fantastique image, ces sotns bleu sont vraimetn grandioses, avec les trace blanche des bâteau, quel graphsime, mangigique, l'effet de branche me plaît beaucoup également.

The desicive moment very well collected with the two boats very well loacted in the composition. Here, I like especially the very nice colors of the sea rich in nuances well collected.

Hi Aires, Nice beach, but the photo not so good because those blurred trees are a bit disturbing. I have often the same problem - I see wonderful landscape and want to make some photos from the train but it is so difficult when there are trees. But the tourqoise of water and tiny figures on the beach are worth seeing.
