São Vicente.

Sur la côte nord de Madère, le village de São Vicente se love dans un écrin de montagnes. Sa position en léger retrait de la côte, derrière un imposant rocher, lui permettait d’être invisible depuis l’océan, ce qui le protégeait des attaques de corsaires. Pirates et corsaires ont en effet constitué pendant longtemps la principale menace pour l’île. Si vous avez l’occasion d’aller à Madère, je vous conseillerais de visiter le Madeira Story Centre de Funchal. Le musée retrace de façon didactique l’histoire de l’île.

Bonjour Delphine ,
Un très beau village du nord de Madère , mais un peu trop touristique à mon gout , même si là , les belles rues pavées semblent très calmes .

Hello Delphine,
Another very neat composition. The narrow street runs nicely along the white façades and my eyes are steadily drawn towards the church tower. The plants lining the street make it look even nicer. The red roofs brighten the view and make fine contrasts to the trees and plants and the very green mountainside that provides a great background. At least this part of the village looks tremendously charming. The quality of the photo is first class.

Grande composition, d'un point élevé, ce qui donne une bonne vue sur la rue et l'église au pied de montagnes abruptes, beau contraste entre la verdure environnante et toits rouges.

il pov è ottimo e la foto ne guadagna in prospettiva.
La scalinata fiorita e la montagna di fronte, ci mostrano quello che ci racconti nella nota, ovvero un villaggio ben nascosto dalla natura e per questo, tranquillo e pacifico.

Hello Delphine,
I love little towns like this one very. They always are more charming than big cities with their impressive architecture. This one seems to be very quiet and sleepy. The narrow street between houses is empty, yet the place doesn't look abandoned. I like how much greenery there is around to make the whole scene prettier. The white walls and red roofs of the dwellings create very nice rural atmosphere.
Good composition with the street working as an eye leading element, pretty colors and good sharpness.

Bonjour Delphine, belle vue sur la belle rue avec la tour en arrière-plan dans une ville intéressante, très bien composée et capturé par un grand pov dans cette grande et belle photographie. Une belle image avec une bonne netteté, profondeur, assez léger, la couleur et la qualité. Un bon travail bien fait, félicitations mon ami. Merci pour le partage de ce beau travail.

J'aime bien ce cadrage resserré... aussi un bon point de vue avec la rue qui entraine le regard jusqu'à la petite église. Le fond de colline avec juste un petit coin de ciel fait ressortir les bâtiments .

The dark green colours are very harmonic against the orange roofs and the white walls. The pleasant street is also well placed in the composition. A very attractive picture, almost like a painting.

The red roofs create a good contrast along with the white steeple which contrasts with the black rocks. The perspective is well drawn by the path which cuts through the village. Though light is not the best, the picture has been handled well. A good work!

Madeira seems like a really photogenic island. I have seen several other reportages and they all show a stunning image of this place. Here you captured a lovely combination of the charming architecture and the magnificent nature appearing behind.
