Photographer's Note

Autumn is surely a great season to visit the Estrela Mountain, the highest mountain in Portugal. It's still soon to see any snow but the mountain has such beautiful colours. This time I went for a walking route in the region of Manteigas and I had the chance to cross this wood.

this is Portugal???
If you had not emphasized that, I would have assumed to be in a German forest, where the "autumn forge" is at work.

This means that you will emerge from every autumn a little smaller than you went in.

Have a nice advent time, the sad November sundays (commemoration of the war victims, commemoration of our dead) are over!

Hello Ana,
You captured the hazy grey light among the trees perfectly. The small green tree and the brown ground get an even greater prominence thanks to the grey background. There is a somewhat mysterious atmosphere, almost like in a fairytale. It's very well done.

Very atmospheric photograph, and the "portrait" format seems entirely appropriate for emphasizing the verticality of the forest trees. I'm reminded of an image I posted a few months ago, which seems to have the same sort of feel. Looking forward to seeing Lisbon again, starting on the 8th December (hint, hint!)
