Photographer's Note

As soon as Spring starts and till the end of summer, there are several reenactments of Medieval Fairs in the country. Take became very popular these last years and they attract lost of visitors. Many of them take place in historical cities or villages. I go there whenever I can because I like them and because they are usually very good places for photos.
This one took place last year, in Vila Ruiva, a small village in the Alentejo. It's not a very big one, but I liked it a lot.

Very nice capture in your gallery with good layout and nice warm light as well as colors.

too bad this wasn't actual medieval times eh? you'd be the talk of the town with a camera haha
the man on the far right gives the scene away with him wearing his wedding band haha. I don't think they had those way back then, especially so shiny and brightly golden. just a funny observation :) the lighting and facial expressions make it work so well, keep posting these. cheers

The three ladies have very expressive faces, and once again you show us a perfectly exposed photo with fantastic colours. Looking at their mouths I wonder if they have fake "medieval" teeth, or if this is a normal tooth status in the countryside. ;-)

The participants clearly go to a lot of trouble to make their costumes - and even their teeth - authentic-looking. Under the circumstances, I can't see how anyone would pass up the chance to photograph a scene like this, nor how it would be possible to take a dull picture. Lovely!

A good capture of the reenactors, glad you were there to photograph to share with us with plenty to look at. Fab detail clear shot and the choice of focus is excellent with awesome expression in those eyes & faces. Indeed a great draw evoking an old feel of yesteryears atmosphere and goes well with the subject matter. Excellent shot, Congrats
