This is my second photo of the re-enactment of a 19th century market that takes place once a year, near the Monastery of Batalha. It counts on the participation of several local folk groups.rnOne of the things we can do there is to drink a glass of red wine taken from the barrel. This type of glasses were very common in the old days, in the old Portuguese taverns. Well, we can still find them in a few old ones.

Very nice close-up shot, by abolishing other disturbing objects. YTour intention is so clear at ll.
Very sharp and clear presnetation via shallow exposure.

Hello,
Good local wine is always a great choice for authentic taste. We also have a lot of small farmers and wine growers who sell their products independently. Nice detail.

This is a very attractive and original composition. It looks very tempting but it's too early in the day for me to get thirsty. ;-) The close view and tight crop was a great idea.

My sort of photograph! That looks a particularly inky red... The same is - or was - true in Greece, where in most tavernas they would give you wine in these unpretentious glasses. Often the wine would be Retsina. If you've not tried it, don't.

Bonjour Ana,

I just “adore” this photo!
Everything in it in fact... The tight framing, the colours, the light, the ruby colour of the wine, the beautiful raw old glass, the hands which makes me think of my father, the interaction between the two hands, the fabric of the shirt...

I don’t know why I am so attracted but I had to open the thumbnail and I am glad I did!
