Here's another photo of the re-enactment of a 19th century market that takes place once a year, near the Monastery of Batalha. It counts on the participation of several local folk groups.
In background, we can see the Monastery of Batalha, one of the most famous and most visited monuments in Portugal. It's Gothic-Manueline style and it was built in the 14th century, by King John I, to commemorate the victory against Castilla, in the Battle of Aljubarrota.

Ola Ana, Interesting view of this folk group with the accordions. Pity we can not hear them playing. Wonderful monastery of Batalha in the background.

Hi Ana.
A splendid photo! The monastery looks superb against the sky. and the musicians make a wonderful foreground. I like the expression on the man's face. There is hardly anything in this photo which tells us it was taken in the 21st century. It could have been taken 100 years ago, if they had had colour photography in those days! Very well done with a good note.

Hello Ana,
Another fine photo from this place. And again it shows interesting persons, this time playing interesting instruments. The cathedral still works well as a background and the technical quality is as superb as always.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. L'orchestre à l'avant plan est joyeuse et surtout en mouvement et la cathédrale en arrière plan est de toute beauté.

Hi Ana,
fantastic reportage. The church at the back is amazing, in fact I had a pleasure to visit this place, HERE is my photo from Batalha.
Of course except for splendid architecture you had as well included some musicians who seem to be in traditional clothes. This is the best combination ever, having great interesting background and some traditional action in the foreground.
