Window Cat, a photo from Algarve, Sud

I liked the bright warm splash of pink on the window shutters & the cat painting. In the bg is the belltower of what I think might be the Church of Misericordia. The Igreja da Misericórdia (Church of Mercy) in Tavira was built between 1541 and 1551 AD and is considered to be one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture on The Algarve.

Bonjour Chris,

Very sharp and bright image. But you are right, the "splash of pink" makes the picture and made me open the thumbnail! Very well observed.

* It is also very nice that this is the kind of cats that Moderators are very fond about... ;)

Chris, the pink cat face painted on the wooden window goes well with the golden roofs. The church belltower dominates the neighborhood. It was repainted recently. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Chris,
Are you sure it's a cat and not the face of a sad Marsian? Whatever that painting is supposed to show, the bright pink spot adds an unexpected twist to the view of the church and the orange brick roofs. The roofs and the bell tower give the photo a nicely balanced structure, and there is a pleasant view in the background too.

I cannot imagine where you were standing to obtain this photograph but this bright pink cat certainly adds a sparkle of colour to the f/g and a sense of fun to a photograph primarily of the church.
Lovely sharp details and excellent light control.

I imagine this tower isn't the original one, most of them were demolished during the famous lisbon earthquake. nice view of the typical portuguese architecture with the pink cat in evidence.
