Photographer's Note
Azores, S. Miguel Island, a sightseeing point over the lagoons of Santiago (the green one) and Seven Cities (in background). Beyond the second lagoon, we can see Seven Cities village.
Grim weather. I wish I could get a better one ..

What an incredible light you captured, Rui, typical of this type of weather.
Usually I try to avoid putting other tourists on my pictures but in this case the presence of the photographer guides the eye to the lake accross the hills, well seen.

A beautiful spot and a good way to capture the strenuousness of the hike. You have captured the experience well. The weather may be bad for trekking, but it's great for photography with the mist rolling in the valley. This type of weather is very atmospheric.

Superbe vue et très belle photo, l'amgle choisi avec ce chemin qui nous guide au bout de la falaise est très bien positionné, la vue à l'autre extrémité doit être spectaculaire, bien vu.

Very interesting landscape - yes one must do a trip to the Azores some time. For me sure something new to see such a pathway secured so well. Very strong colours in the overcast weather. Well done Rui

Wonderful view, Rui! While the weather was not the best the shot shows all the beauty of the places and makes one wish to be there and do some hiking ... ALso the idea with the photographer is nice. Compliments.

Don't worry about the weather. I lie it like that; the mist gives an extra atmosphere. Looks like quite a hike.

Ah yes, a place I definitely want to visit, regardless of the weather.
Good that you included a person. It somehow always seems to enhance the depth of this kind of landscape photo (and it certainly looks more interesting on the thumbnail). I guess this could also go into the "Photographers at work" theme group.

Agree a great place to visit. Super perspective and I just love the cloud. The guy who is taking the photo is interesting to be put into the picture.

Great to see this fine place from a different angle - I beleive these several shots on TE taken around here - and can remember at least one - which I made a workshop on - The photographer adds extra to the image and gives a new dimension to the shot - thanks Rui - nice work indeed.

Great picture, it manages to transmit the humid, lush atmosphere perfectly.
I haven't even been to Portugal proper yet (though I certainly plan to visit!), but your pictures make me think Azores are a neccessary addition :)
Thank you for sharing.

Hi, Rui! Thanks for showing the beauty of your country! Now I know why so many Ukrainians prefer to live in Portugal :-)
Sincerely yours, Sergiy
