Photographer's Note
The Voroneţ (read Voronets) monastery have been build in 1488 year by the Stephen the Great voivode of Moldavia as gratitude to God for their miraculous victory at Battle of Vaslui against Mehmet II (Sultan of Ottoman empire) army. Stephen's army had 40.000 soldiers, Mehmet II had over 100.000 experienced soldiers in his army. Mehmet II had defeated recently the Constantinople city.
The church has very beautiful frescoes inside and out side. Painting is famous for the special colour of blue. "Blue of Voroneţ" Natural pigments have beeen preserved very well until our times.
