Down - same place in 2012.

Good idea to compare then and now. Also well executed.
But I feel sorry that the building on the corner with its balconies and roof window has not been restored but replaced by a less charming apartment block.
I'm afraid this happens everywhere ...

I could have fun viewing these before/after, now/then type of photos all day long.
its so much fun to try and compare the two.
Too bad the Magazin store at the top was torn down, seems like it had alot of positive rustic charm.
only 1 building looks untouched.

HI Ovidiu,
I love this idea of the then and now scenario. How sad to have lost that building on the left in the original shot, but I guess there is no halting progress. It seems the whole road has shifted too, but that big white building maintains its imposing presence. Really nicely done, this is a fascinating comparison and post!

Another compilation of pictures, a bit of nostalgia perhaps and a beautiful little rustic place that takes one back in time full of character and all part of a bygone era in comparison to new development at the same sight. Great that the similar building in the backdrop serves as strong reference and both images are great and effective in mono, I love the old building on top left in contrast to the new modern style are just square or oblong boxes but the old one somehow wins for me. This is nicely arranged montage, happy and sad memories perhaps! Well done and tfs

Hello Ovidiu,
although the two pictures show only a very small part of the city, it's easy to see how much this place has changed since 1975. There are architectural and cultural changes that your juxtaposition points out effectively. I like that you tried to keep your monochrome treatment as close to the tint of the old photo as possible. I also like that both pictures include cars as an important element of the urban environment; we can compare their different styles as well. Very interesting work, congratulations and thank you!

Romania in double faze, old and new this indeed very interesting, we see clear the change since 1975.
