Three windows ...

View of the old facade and windows.
A window is an opening in a building or house, usually on the wall, but it can also be a roof. Its purpose is to let light in and to ventilate the enclosed space through it.
The former consist of a frame and wings, in the latter there is only a frame that is glazed. The window, in modern construction, is glazed with glass, as well as other transparent materials. In the past, windows on houses were "glazed" with thin leather, because glass was expensive and inaccessible.
According to the number of wings, windows are divided into single-leaf, double-leaf, three-leaf, etc. The wings can be single, double or double. Modern windows are usually with single wings, but the wings and frames are profiled so as to enable excellent sealing.
The material for making frames and wings can be wood, plastic or metal, they are also made of composite profiles.
In addition to the basic parts of the windows, their construction also requires hardware, which includes hinges and a closing mechanism.
