„ Rodjena zemljo jesi li znala?
Tu je pogino bataljon ceo...
Crvena krv je procvetala
kroz snezni pokrov hladan i beo.
Nocu je i to zavejo vetar.
Ipak na jugu... vojska koraca...
Pao je cetrnaesti kilometar,
al` nikad nece Kadinjaca.
Spomenik je snimljena 1981godine, sa Nikon F2 AS i objektivom Nikkor 50.mm f-1,4.
Memories of a tour of the ,, Kadinjaca ,,
The "Kadinjaca" memorial complex near Uzice testifies to the November days of 1941, when members of the Workers' Battalion of the Užice Partisan Detachment, commanded by Andrija Djurovic, offered fierce resistance to a far superior enemy who carried out an offensive on the liberated territory of the "Uzice Republic". . Fighters of the Workers' Battalion bravely died in the battle of Kadinjaca on November 29, 1941. Enemy forces broke through the last defense of free Uzice, but the heroism of those heroes remained remembered in the times that followed.
The complex itself represents a complex architectural and museological whole that consists of segments built in the period between 1952 and 1979. In the first phase, in 1952, a pyramid-shaped monument was erected on Kadinjača, under which there is an ossuary in which the remains of members of the Workers' Battalion who died during the battle of Kadinjaca rest.
The complex experienced significant expansion and enrichment in 1979, when, according to a project authored by sculptor Miodrag Zivkovic and architect Aleksandar Djokic, its arrangement was completed, which gave it its present appearance. The entire memorial complex was ceremoniously opened by the President of the Republic Josip Broz Tito on September 23, 1979.
The verses of the Uzice poet Slavko Vukosavljević are written on the Memorial Monument:
"Did you know your homeland?"
The whole battalion was killed there ...
Red blood blossomed
through the snow cover cold and white.
At night, the wind blew that too.
Still in the south ... the army is marching ...
He fell the fourteenth kilometer,
but he will never have Kadinjac.
Monument was taken in 1981, with a Nikon F2 AS and a Nikkor 50.mm f-1.4 lens.

Hello Pavle,
It's an elegant and stylish memorial and the photo is taken with a perfect symmetry. The weather was not so good and the photo turned out a bit grainy.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Pavle,an interesting story of this unequal battle, which unfortunately caused many victims. This is the way to remember them, an old but fairly high quality photo, an excellent view of the great monument built and enriched over the years. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Must bre a very imposing and impressive site, the monument is large and superbly designed, pavle.
However, the picture was not best processed, a bit blury and heat-haze prevailed. For your attention on next photos.
My best regards,
Ike

Hello Paja,
All statues are a nice moment to the victims, but WAR remain a WAR
I've yet never a good War known.

Hello Pavle,
A very remarkable and interesting memorial complex that was gradually built up over the years.
The various elements that make up the complex form together a very special landscape.
The middle part is very symmetrical.
I believe this is a scan of an older photo. Hence, the sky contains a bit of noise.
Best regards, Paul

Zdravo Pavle,
veoma lepa prezentacija ovog spomenika.
