Kod nas je obicaj sa se stavi neka posuda sa vodom za pcele.
Pcela je vrsta insekata iz reda opnokrilaca, natfamilije pcela (Apoidea). Glavna osobina svih pcela je da za ishranu skuplja cvetni polen, kao izvor belancevina i cvetni nektar kao izvor ugljenih hidrata. Na Zemlji postoji oko 20 000 vrsta pcela rasprostranjenih skoro u svim podrucjima sveta. Velicina se krece od 2 mm do 4 cm. Pcele igraju veliku ulogu u oprasivanju cvetova.
Pretpostavlja se da trecina ljudske hrane zavisi od oprasivanja koje cine pcele.

In our country it is customary to put a bowl with water for the bees.
The bee is a species of insect of the order hymenoptera, natfamilije bees (Apoidea). The main characteristics of bees that gather pollen to feed pollen, as a source of protein and flower nectar as a carbohydrate source. On Earth, there are about 20 000 species of bees spread in almost all regions of the world. Size ranges from 2 mm to 4 cm. Bees play an important role in the pollination of flowers.
It is assumed that one third of human food depends on pollination by bees make.

Hi Pavle,

I agree with you that bees are very important for crops too. They bring vital elements for growth of crops from one place to another. You have good captured bees drinking water in a cup to show us. I like the close angle view.

A fabulous close-up on the bees coming to sip from the water-pot, Pavle.
The corner is a good background for the scene.
Excellent technical details, an interesting note.
I agree that bees are very important to the environment and human-food depend upon.

Bonjour, cher Paja,
C'est bien la première fois que je vois une telle image à propos des abeilles, le sujet est très intéressant et surtout très instructif. Je pensais que les abeilles étaient surtout attirées par des éléments sucrés. Il est vrai que les abeilles ont soif aussi.

A good thing to treat these bees well, as I believe they are becoming more and more endangered. Very good close-up view of these bees around the cup of water. I particularly like the shadow of one of them on the cup.

This is an original and attractive photo. It is interesting to watch the bees gather for a drink. It is important to protect these very important insects, so this tradition is very nice. This is also a fine photo with a fine background and very good colours.

Hi Pavle,

A good capture of the bees in the cup with excellent sharpness, color and saturation. Good use of a shallow dof too with superb use of the corner as a bg. Thanks for sharing this interesting tradition.

I like the way you focused on this detail, setting off the textures and rendering the colours so appealing. The light is lovely and has produced interesting shadows as well, I especially like the bee's shadow on the mug. I like the movement and how naturally the buzzing sound is evoked. Hello Paja,
That's a very nice custom in your country. I never heard of it before.
The bee population in the world is shrinking. Insecticides which are used in the fields, have been found in dead bees.
Very good that somewhere there are people who take care of these animals.
Excellent closer view of the bees.
Nice with the shadow of one on the jar with water.

Very interesting shot and notes. Great kindness to the bees. At first I thought they are there because of some juice or something sweet in the pot. Now I remember while visiting a friend in rural/agricultural Bavaria the bees were always stopping on the rim of my wine glass & some even dropped inside. So many bees. You can't even leave the house door open.
