Photographer's Note
Situated on the lime rock, 648 m above sea level, on the historic route connecting Hungary with Poland, frontier castle in Stara Lubovna (Ľubovniansky hrad) is one of those amazing places, where history of Central European Nations was written.
It was built in the early XIVth century by Hungarians. The place of famous peace treaty from 1412 between Polish king Wladyslaw Jagiello and Hungarian monarch Zygmunt, and - few months later - agreement regarding takeover of 13 towns of Spis by Poland as a pawn of lent royal money. Stara Lubovna was ruled by Polish castellans right up to 1769. In the meantime the castle was visted by kings: Jan Kazimierz and Jan III Sobieski. The Polish crown jewels were deposited here from 1655 to 1661, during the Swedish invasion of Poland. Later, for some years it was kept by Austrian Habsburgs, but lost its importance and was finally sold. It became private property and state property after 1948. Located in the heart of Slovakian Spis, now it houses a local history exhibition.

Hello Mateusz,
A great picture. The scenery itself is beautiful, but I think it is your decision to put so much emphasis on the sky that has made this such a good composition.

Great shot! The lighting on the ground is very good, because the angle of the sun shows the shapes of the hills very well. Also, the castle being right on the skyline really makes it stand out very well. I like the positioning of the horizon, low, with the sky becoming huge. It gives this a great sense of space. Beautiful work!

Hello Mateusz,
Nice panorama with great POV and composition. You had luck with the weather conditions.
But I think the clours are a bit yellowish and the sky's colours is pale. I sent a ws, hope you don't mind! Did your original looked like this one?
TFS!
Best wishes,
Marci

Hello Mat -
This is a nice image. At first I was going to comment on the fact of too much sky but the moor I look at the image I like it. I think that it is that the castle is on a third point and is making the image work. All of the technical stuff looks to be spot on. Well done.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Mat,
Very good composition. I like the room you left for this wonderful sky and this great green skyline. The polarizer allows for high contrast and is used very efficiently.
Have a nice evening.

Czesc Mateusz,
Dobrze wyglada oprawione w rame ktora wybrales.
Pozdrawiam!

What an amazing sky, I can definitely understand why there is so much emphasis on it, of course the castle makes a fine suject as well, I like how the landscape is undisturbed by modern development.

Hello Mat! I was pleasantly surprised to see the castle when I came in for a closer view, I didn't notice it as a thumbnail. That fantastic sky brought me in for a closer well. The hills contrast beautifully against that sky. Very good sharpness too.
Well done!

Well, this is a fairytale photograph if I have ever seen one. The cloudy sky looks great, and the shadows on the green hill create lovely contrast. I really like how much sky you included. The castle is a very small part of the photo, but it still looks huge. Great shot, I love it.

Ryan
