Photographer's Note
The Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata is a volcanic region so the coastline where the geology is exposed on its cliffs and beaches is fascinating. This cliff is behind the sandy beach, Playa del Barronal, between San Jose and the Faro. I wish I new a bit more about the geology but the rocks are very interesting to photograph.

Hello Digby,
A pleasant, kind of minimalistic composition. The beach umbrella is very eye-cathing but has actually received quite tough competition from the steep hillside with its interesting patterns. The good light and strong contrasts have enhanced the effect of the texture of the rock.

Hello Digby,
A most successful minimalistic composition. The parasol is perfectly placed and I like the inclusion of the strip of blue sky. Superb rendering of the tones and textures in those fascinating cliffs.

Me gusta la textura de la roca almeriense con el detalle de la sombrilla!!! Saludos Digby
