Photographer's Note
The flamenco dancer at La Carboneria, Seville.
Theme: One evening in Seville
Spent one evening in Seville and one day in Cordoba on my way back from a conference in Gran Canaria. I was stuck in the Maspalomas area of Gran Canaria for 6 nights which is a photo-op hell. Resorts, massage parlours, golf course, mini golf course, resorts, amusement parks, shopping centers, resorts, McDonalds, Hard rock cafe, chinese restaurants with menus written in 8 northern european languages, sun hungry families from europe, spas, gyms; there you have it, Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. Two evenings in Seville and Cordoba offered a refreshing break.

A terrific shot, Prantik! The swinging mood, the drama, the sweat and the intensity, are all captured in a maverick composition. Brilliant!

Ah, Prantik, this is strong. I can hear the wailing sound of the flamenco singers and the loud steps of this perspiring wonderful artist as she unfolds herself in the trance of this majestic dance... love your crop, her face so filled with passion vis-a-vis that painting... Superb work!

-Hugh

Hi Prantik
Way to set the mood here. Great expression and the blur of motion. Strong contrasts. Really good work.

Very good Prantik. The drama in her face was very well caught and completely grabs us viewers into the scene. The light shining from her inner glow, from the liquidity of her effort, is really powerful. I like the swirling movement in her pink dress and the painting in the back echoing the drama of the scene. A great photo imho.

Hi Prantik.
I'm amazed. How you get so sharpened her face with 1/13?
I love this photo. It's great. It's very expressive and its composition is powerful.
The shadows, the background (the paiting is superb and I love how the woman fingers the dancer) and also the colours are splendid.
For me, one of the best photos that I've seen lately in TE.
Regards.
