Photographer's Note
A view from La Hoya in western Tenerife (at 1.000 meters above sea level) to the volcano Teide (at 3.700 meters above sea level - the highest point in Spain).
Sometimes one of the funniest aspects of amateur photography is finding that you need a person in the foreground to add depth to the picture - and having to use yourself, because you are all alone in those mountains. You put the camera on the tripod, set the timer and run like hell to be in the right position at the right time for the shot to be well balanced.
My wife calls it narcissism - I call it art.

It's indeed good that you positioned yourself in this shot, Per - even more so at a perfect spot in your composition. This is a splendid (and aptly titled) landscape shot, just to my liking. Great depth all the way through to Mt Teide, and beautiful scenery in between with the tree-covered land and the small valley in front. Excellent rendition of colors and light. I wonder how many times you did the "set timer and run like hell" exercise before getting this one ;-) Very nice.

What a view indeed! The colors are splendid, perhaps a little more saturation would make them bolder. The forest / mountains in the background are beautiful. Well seen, well framed and well commented.

You´re right: this seems to be a wonderful plaace Per! Your composition is really great, giving us details from the closest view to the distant mountains, wich gives the image a great depth. And of course, your standing is a precious detail, which really increases the "What a view" idea you tried to give here. Nice job :)

Oh sorry this one I missed due to my holiday - and yes you right - I must learn to use the self timer function (and the B&W ;-) of my camera - You also right about a person in the foreground to give a better perspective and more artistic image (Even wifes disagree ;-))
Great landscape and view - very well done Per.
