Photographer's Note

I didn't resist posting this one after I saw this post of luighi. It's no surprise that we both chose much the same POV, as it is a wonderful one, although my own POV is a bit lower, as I wasn't on the top of the City Walls, like luighi seemed to be.

I was having dinner at a nearby open air restaurant and I decided to take my chances with the twilight. The place where I stood, outside the Southeast corner of the City Walls marks the beginning of Paseo del Rastro, which is a pleasant promenade by the walls.

The tower on the right is from the Iglesia de Santiago Apostol (Saint James church) and according to a TE fellow who lives in Avila (colibriav), the valley on the distance it's called Valle Ambles and it's famous for the meat produced there. I guess that it must be beef or veal, as the most famous dish of Ávila are veal chops, but I guess it can be also sheep, as sheep chops are also common in the menus of the restaurants.

Post-processing: The original shot is quite underexposed (UE). I usually prefer to UE when there are large light differences, because apart from the noise, I get better results and in an easier way compensating UE than overexposure. I produced 3 images with different exposure compensations from the raw file and then I blended them.

WS's:
#1- Straight conversion of the original raw image.

#2- Another POV, more alike the luighi's post that I referred above.
