Now that I have total freedom in my time, I have done a small trip across Spain, visiting again Toledo, and Talavera de la Reina, discovering Chinchón (Madrid), and also Burgos, a splendid city, with a great history and an extraordinary architecture. I took this photo in Burgos, and you can see its wonderful Cathedral, in a scene in which the light of the evening was heightening the Gothic beauty of this front and of both needles of its towers. In addition, the girl sitting in foreground in the semidarkness, was adding a nice human touch in my setting.

Wikipedia Information:
The Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria of Burgos is a catholic temple dedicated to the Virgin Mary placed in the Spanish city of Burgos. Its construction began in 1221, and follows the Gothic French patterns. It had the most important modifications in the XVth and XVIth century, as the needles of the main facade, the Chapel of the Condestable and the dome of the cruise nave, a several elements of the advanced Gothic that provide to the temple its unmistakable profile. The last works of importance (the Sacristy or the Chapel of Santa Tecla) belong already to the 18th century, century in which also the Gothic fronts of the main facade were modified. The style of the cathedral is the Gothic, though it possesses, inside, several decorative Renaissance and baroque elements. The construction and the remodeling works were realized from limestone extracted from the quarries of the nearby locality of Hontoria de la Cantera.

Ahora que tengo total libertad en mi tiempo, he hecho un pequeño viaje a través de España, visitando de nuevo Toledo, y Talavera de la Reina, descubriendo Chinchón (Madrid), y también Burgos, una ciudad espléndida, con una gran historia y una arquitectura extraordinaria.
Esta foto la tomé en Burgos, y podéis ver su maravillosa Catedral, en una escena en la que la luz de la tarde realzaba la belleza gótica de esta fachada y de las dos agujas de sus torres. Además, la chica sentada en el primer plano en la penumbra, añadía un agradable toque humano en mi encuadre.

La Catedral Basílica de Santa María de Burgos es un templo católico dedicado a la Virgen María situado en la ciudad española de Burgos. Su construcción comenzó en 1221, siguiendo patrones góticos franceses. Tuvo importantísimas modificaciones en los siglos XV y XVI, como las agujas de la fachada principal, la Capilla del Condestable y el cimborrio del crucero, elementos del gótico avanzado que dotan al templo de su perfil inconfundible. Las últimas obras de importancia (la Sacristía o la Capilla de Santa Tecla) pertenecen ya al siglo XVIII, siglo en el que también se modificaron las portadas góticas de la fachada principal. El estilo de la catedral es el gótico, aunque posee, en su interior, varios elementos decorativos renacentistas y barrocos. La construcción y las remodelaciones se realizaron con piedra caliza extraída de las canteras de la cercana localidad burgalesa de Hontoria de la Cantera.

Hello Josep,
Nice capture of this famous gothic cathedral in Burgos taken with good pov. There is a certain similarity to the dome of Cologne in Germany. Nice framing and interesting notes.

una composición maravillosa, en donde nos muestras tu maestría y saber hacer.
El formato vertical ajustado con el contraste de la sombra de la chica en primer plano me encanta.
Recuerdo el momento en que tomabas la foto y la fuerte luz que hacía, un reto que has superado muy bien.
Los colores , la nitidez y el POV inmejorables.

A magnificent pic. of the gothic style cathedral of Burgos, its turrets spear against the blue sky.
The lady who is sitting in the FG, viewed as a sillhouette in the shadow - created a nice contrast to the edifice which is under strong daylight.

Como ya practicamente no subes casi nada, no sabia que tenias esta maravillosa nueva imagen en tu galeria.
Soberbia la intensa luz, que ilumina esta hermosa fachada y que has gestionado de maravilla, el contraste con las sombras del primer plano y ese persona que parece admirar esta joya, como hacemos nosotros, es un complemento que me gusta mucho.
Un precioso dia que te da una gama hermosa de colores, para realzar este esplendido trabajo.

I like the contrast between the light and the shadow with the presentation of the woman admiring the Cathedral,to adds scale in the scene.Well done.

Indeed the silhouetted girl sitting on the bench adds an element of interest to this shot. The cathedral is beautifully ornate with lovely work on the twin spires. The exposure was difficult but managed well. Fine work indeed!
