Photographer's Note

Last monday I enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the neighborhood of the Barceloneta, in my city, and finally I decided to be going to know the emblematic building of the W Hotel, when already we have seen it here in a lot of photos presented by other TE members.

For this reason I looked for another look, by means of a visual angle a bit different, for not to get bored you with this very photographed building.

I hope you like.

Information: The W Hotel Barcelona, also known popularly as hotel Vela (Sail Hotel), is a building designed by the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, which is placed inside the extension of the south zone of the port of Barcelona. This hotel of 5 stars Great Luxury forms a part of the hotel chain Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and is located in the number 1 of the Rose of Winds Square, in this city.
In the moment of its presentation the project were a tower in the shape of sail that it was reaching 168 meters. Nevertheless, the town hall of the city forced the architect to modify the project in order of not to alter the silhouette of Barcelona, which it must be crowned by both towers of the Olympic Village, then when it was inaugurated, on September 1, 2009, only it had 100 meters of height, and 473 rooms.
The hotel has the services more exclusive of W, as its swimming pool "WET", which allows the direct access to the emblematic beach of the Barceloneta, its "BLISS" Spa and the gymnasium "SWEAT".

El pasado lunes disfruté de un agradable paseo a lo largo del barrio de la Barceloneta, en mi ciudad, y por fin me decidí ir a conocer el emblemático edificio del Hotel W, cuando ya lo hemos visto aquí en muchas fotos presentadas por otros miembros de TE.

Por esta razón busqué otra mirada, mediante un ángulo visual un poco diferente, para no aburriros con este edificio muy fotografiado.

Información: El Hotel W Barcelona, también conocido popularmente como hotel vela, es un edificio diseñado por el arquitecto español Ricardo Bofill, el cual se enmarca dentro de la ampliación de la zona sur del puerto de Barcelona. Este hotel de 5 estrellas Gran Lujo forma parte de la cadena hotelera Starwood Hotels and Resorts, y está ubicado en la Plaza de la Rosa del Vents 1, en esta ciudad.
En el momento de su presentación el proyecto contaba con una torre en forma de vela que alcanzaba los 168 metros. Sin embargo, el ayuntamiento de la ciudad obligó al arquitecto a modificar el proyecto para no alterar la silueta de Barcelona, que debe ser coronada por las dos torres de la Villa Olímpica, por lo que cuando se inauguró, el 1 de septiembre de 2009, solamente tenía 100 metros de altura, y 473 habitaciones.
El hotel dispone de los servicios más exclusivos de W, como su piscina WET, que permite el acceso directo a la emblemática playa de la Barceloneta, su BLISS Spa y el gimnasio SWEAT.

Vaya encuadre! me ha gustado mucho..la inclinación da algo muy llamativo y propio a tu imagen! el juego de los reflejos es espectacular! el cielo azul complementa muy bien el conjunto..es una grean foto! muy bien visto..enhorabuena

hai ragione tu, spesso variando angolazione, taglio o inquadrature si riesce ad ottenere risultati prima inaspettati, l'effetto grafico è straordinario.
Molto belli i colori ed i riflessi sulle facciate.

dalla miniatura mi sembrava la torretta di un sottomarino.
Grande sorpresa nel vedere che rappresenta un edificio.
Bravo a dare una visione prospettica molto originale di questo celebre albergo.

Le fait de cadrer oblique empêche toute déformation d'architecture, pourquoi les objectifs ne sont pas carrés ?
Ta composition intéressante me fait penser à une queue d'un gros avion.
Ça doit coûter cher l'entretien de la verrerie :)

Bonsoir, cher ami Josep,
Ricardo Bofill a construit de nombreux immeubles en France, ces derniers bénéficient d'une architecture étonnante et originale. Je ne suis donc pas étonné de voir cette superbe réalisation à Barcelone.
Le cadrage est à "couper" le souffle, ainsi que la beauté de l'image.

the way the clouds are reflected onto the glass is so beautiful, how could people not enjoy this style!

Hello Josep,

Very clever way capturing this architecture. I see the edge, heel and spine here. The reflection of the sky makes it so bluish and makes the image monochromatic. the details, sharpness and lighti management are excellent. I thought you took this shot in NYC.

Le titre correspond bien à ce que l'on ressent en voyant cet immeuble à l'architecture particulière. Tu as trouvé un angle de prise de vue et un cadrage originaux pour en réaliser une magnifique photo.

En aquest cas, a part del punt de vista inclinat, per a mi domina la quadrícula dels vidres amb els núvols, que creen una espècie de puzle.

Estos encuadres en diagonal dan mucho juego, como pordemos ver en esta fantastica composicion, efectivamente ya hemos visto este edificio, aunque este encuadre nos da una imagen muy original y diferente, ademas el cielo salpicado de nubes, que se reflejan en las cristaleras del edificio, dan un magnifico grafismo y una preciosa armonia de colores en estos dominantes de azul.
Magnifico y original trabajo amigo mio, con ese fantastico marco en el azul mas ocuro, que da mucho caracter y elegancia. Me gusta.

Elige el ángulo de la arquitectura y bellas. Excelente composición y el hermoso cielo azul y nubes blancas se refleja en el cristal con el tipo de reflejo. Convención en el cielo espejo de la torre Zybayysh verlo. Exhibió un muy buen amigo.
