Dressed for Christmas, a photo from Barcelona, Catalogne

Photographer's Note

A few days ago it began the Christmas season in Barcelona, with the official ignition of the Christmas lights in its streets.

Also the famous Agbar Tower is added to this special lighting, with a nice game of lights of colors drawing motives as a Christmas tree and its ornaments.

I went out of house in order to catch this lighting at the late afternoon, and took many photos, because the variations of lights and drawings were fantastic.

This one is one of them, I hope that you like.

Hace unos días comenzó la temporada de Navidad en Barcelona, con el encendido oficial de la iluminación navideña en sus calles.

También la famosa Torre Agbar se añade a esta iluminación especial, con un bonito juego de luces de colores dibujando motivos como un árbol de Navidad y sus adornos.

Salí de casa para captar esta iluminación al anochecer, y tomé muchas fotos, porque las variaciones de luces y dibujos eran fantásticas.

Ésta es una de ellas, espero que os guste.

Sin trípode, a ISO 400 y con tal definición...realmente impresiona!!

Gran calidad en lo técnico y en lo artístico, la composición el punto de fuga de las líneas, el momento de color...de esas fotos que uno disfruta haciendo...y viendo!!

Bonjour Josep,
Belles variations de teintes sur cette tour aux allures de vaisseau spatial, illuminée aux couleurs de Noël, resplendissante dans le ciel nocturne. L'angle de vue en contre-plongée accentue l'effet de hauteur ainsi que le graphisme de l'édifice. J'apprécie la vue en WS qui offre un certain recul et nous permet de mieux discerner cette tour déguisée en sapin de Noël avec ses guirlandes rouges.

I really like this Christmas view that you presented to us. :-) The angle of the building, shooting into the dark, night sky is great. excellent shot without tripoid...no noice considered the 4000 ISO, the tower with this light is very spectacular and with the low POV is more imponent...beautiful color and fantastic perspective...

Your title describs well the nice atmosphere with those lights, Josep.
A great composition in green and red with an orange touch, managed well. Also, the view as posted on the WS is impressive and gave a good whole perspective.

D'abord bravo pour la prise a main levé, netteté , cadrage et lumière tout est excellent, puis ce batiment lumineux, colorées sur le fond sombre est un vrai plaisir a regarder d'autant plus qu'il change de couleurs comme vue sur le WS, et bien je pense que je devrais mis mettre aussi a aller en ville et voir si les décorations aux déjà commencé..
Il annonce de la neige pour ces jours ci, sa va être la folie pour Jessie :-)

Impresionante el fuerte cromatismo de esta composicion, es como un iman que atrae la atencion desde la primera vista.
Genial como has captado esta imagen tan nitida, sin la ayuda de tripode, buen pulso amigo mio y una buena leccion de buen hacer.
La otra imagen del WS es tambien magnifica, aunque esta en un plano mas corto, nos muestra el fuerte grafismo con esas lineas, que nos llevan la vista hacia lo mas alto, atraves del vibrante colorido.

The Christmas seasons strarts earlier and earlier. But amybe it has its sense, specially in gloomy days it is nice to have some colourful lights. Fantastic view of this colourful tower. Superb shot from the low POV.

what a colorful presentation!
this one surely stands out in your gallery.
For sure it looks like a large Christmas Tree.
the real important part of the photo is the dark black areas, having that strong contrasting element makes the oranges and greens pop!
