Photographer's Note
I know, I said that in mi next photo I would give you news about my new work. But I’m going to be a few days off and I would miss the chance to remember the date when Jerry Goldsmith passed away.
It was the 21th of July of 2004.
Jerry Goldsmith was one of the best composer who wrote music for cinema and his music will be ever between us. Maybe he was the best and I want remember him with this picture taken in Barcelona a few months ago.
I hope you like it.

A nice tribute to this musician. Your picture is very nice. The lone surfer look very good against the waves and curvature of the horizon. Nice work Carlos.

I love the composition with the surfer and his shadow entering the sea. The placement of the shoreline on a diagonal works very well. You have captured wonderful texture in the sand and sea, but what happened to the horizon?

First of all - I like tilted horizon. Maybe this is strange opinion, but I really like it.

So where is New York. You promised. Oh I see its on the other side of the sea there in the distance! Good work. Who wants to see New York when you can enjoy summer surf and sea anyways. Very good photo with excellent details from the sand foreground to the sky above. I would however liked to see the water horizon in the distance level. Just being picky..with one of my TE pet peeves!

excellent shot with an almost perfect use of the rule of thirds, with earth, water and air. I love the way you have included the distant skyscrapers/ maybe sail boats..

Hola Carlos,
Angel.

Hi Carlos
very fine to include the links that gives a lot of ibfo to remind this composer but the link with this shot of your is that not evident, I can imagine but you don't explain why you chose this view. The photo itself, colors are impecable clear and elements sharp detailled, I'm not that convinced about the tilt and the curve of the horizont pulling distracting attention and ok not for the rules that much but still the centering of the man is a bit static but all these thought could be easily adjusted a bit in this still clear shot looking to infinity.
greetings

Hi Carlos,
The vertical format is especially effective here in highlighting this slice of beach with the fellow wandering alone in the surf. A suitable memorial shot for Jerry. The footprints in the sand are most effective. A fine capture, Carlos. Cheers and have a good weekend.

Hola Carlos.

A ver si te dan buenas noticias pronto.

Hi Carlos - the angle of the sunlight gives interesting shadows and a nice shimmer to the water, the wide angle of the lens exaggerates the curvature of the earth, or is it a tilt? The surfer seems to be in no danger of falling at least.

Hola Carlos,

Hello Carlos,
A pleasant minimalistic approach to beach activities!
Great diagonal composition, the backlight adds life to the surf and makes the water suface shimmer nicely...
The footprints in front is a nice addition!

Hola Carlos,

Buen homenaje a Jerry Goldsmith.
Felicitaciones.
Abrazos.

Hola Carlos
I like the textured fg sand, & it's a nice tribute to Jerry. The warm cold colour opposition of blue sky/sea & reddish sand is great. Tfs!

Hi Carlos!
To have such a beach in the middle of the city is a very big privilege. I liked it there a lot when we visited your homecity. And I like your photo of it, because it ceptures the summer and beach life mood very well.

Hello Carlos,
Nice tribute to Jerry Goldsmith, and nic epicture too. Funny how it looks as if the earth is round, and this is probably due tu a very wide-angle effect.
Simple but excellent all the way - Izzet

Olá Carlos, lovely tribute to Jerry Goldsmith and thanks for the video. This is quite an atractive atmosphere in a good vertical composition. I would prefer the surfer more to the left (a bit earlier) and the horizon straight, even if I know you left it on purpose, but I like a lot the mood, the contrast of the surfer with the foam and the inclusion of the sand in FG.
