Photographer's Note

This statue (Fuente del Ángel Caído or Monumento del Ángel Caído) is believed to be the only public statue depicting Lucifer. It shows the moment Lucifer is cast out of Heaven as described in John Milton's Paradise Lost.
The statue was created by Ricardo Bellver for the Paris World Fair and was later acquired by Museo del Prado who donated it to the city. It is now found in Parque del Buen Retiro in the heart of Madrid.
