Photographer's Note

This is my last photo of the year... why this one? Believe me, it's a casuality.

But, I see the photo with the last light of the day and that dawn reminds me today is the last day of the year. And that water (that's not the sea, that's a lake) reminds me these days there is no peace.

How many people from Palestina has been killed these last days?
Do you know today ETA (the Spanish terrorists) have put a bomb against the journalists? (there are no casualities)

And even I've killed a poor deer (well, it was an accident with the car).

My only wish is peace. Peace for men. Peace for women.

The water is very choppy as a symbol of the current situation. Maybe you have a smooth water surface held in reserve for when the world is at peace. The dusk image is also a symbol of the year's end. I'm trying to find something for the raised nets. Or maybe they just make a pleasant image.

yup, no calm in the world; and i am afraid, due to many factors, even less calm is on the horizon... unfortunately...
matching mood in your choppy seas photo! i'm not convinced by the central placement of the horizon here (even though it works ok do put the viewer in an 'uneasy' mood). but then again: maybe that's (what i mentioned in the brackets) was exactly what you were after ;))

Hola Carlos, beautiful capture to express turbulence, something that makes the world spin around. Love the textures and the graphism of the nets hanged above the water surface. I wouldn't guess that this is in Spain. It seems a photogenic fishing place. Nice warm tones.
