Puerto de Sóller, a photo from Mallorca, Balearics

Photographer's Note

Puerto de Sóller-is a small village and the port of the town of Sóller. The port is in the bay La Badia de Sóller with the small gate to the open sea - cause was the pirates. There are two lighthouses which sit on the headlands on either side of the bay.
The Puerto de Sóller is connecting with the town Sóller by tramway line from 1913, still in service.

Ah, I recognise this place!

A very fine picture of the little port below Sóller, very well composed with the rocky breakwater coming in nicely from bottom right into the frame. The colours are wonderfully vibrant and the light is delicious. The boats and buildings stand out beautifully against the blue/green water and the deep blue sky.

Lovely colours, spot-on exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
