Carrer del Bisbe is a narrow street of Barri Gòtic ("Gothic Quarter"), the oldest part of Barcelona. The wall to the left belongs to the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, the seat of regional government of Catalonia.

Ola Jose,
well chosen this angle and this section of the narrow street of Barri Gòtic,with the balcony over the arch to makes the image more effective. The decorations elements on it,in combination with the falling light enhance the details and its beauty even more.

Hi José,

The old towns are my favorite places, I can't think of one I haven't enjoyed. And speaking of enjoyment, this perspective falls right in line with that notion! Love the break neck, upwards view, one that is creative and concise. This is wonderful use of the limited available space, and conveys the sensation of standing in place trying to achieve the same result. That's some difficult light to work with too, but you've managed a fine balance, showing plenty of detail and texturing. Wise utilization of the wide angle, this turned out nicely. Enjoy the new day. A most unusual viewpoint and, yet, one which works extremely well, showing the effects of perspective and detailing sculptures in a whole new plane.
The lighting must have been difficult but you have mastered it and given us some excellent artistic and textural details.

Great perspective taken from such low ant point of view, i feel the contrasty blue sky in the centre pulls the eye in. The light & shadows is well managed with the sense of scale and depth, beautiful and bold architectural detail with strong geometrical effect as well. I can share your difficulty finding such a fine spot like this and your effort is well paid with this fine artistic result! Awesome capture.

This is a fine view looking up, where the fine rectangle of a window of the sky makes a wonderful impression...surrounded by high walls, and at the bottom by superb statues and architecture.
