Toledo Cathedral

On one of the days of my visit to Madrid, I took the train to Toledo, 70km to the south. Nicknamed 'The City of the Three Cultures', the historic city centre, influenced by Christians, Muslims and Jews, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986.

Seen here is Toledo Cathedral, or officially Catedral Primada Santa María de Toledo. This photo, however, shows you the reflection of the main façade, as it was reflected in a small pond or fountain at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The Cathedral is one of the most important Gothic buildings in Spain and was built between 1227 and 1493.
