Photographer's Note

In the summer of 1994 the Stallions park was inaugurated, located on the old orchard of this disappeared Alcalaino barracks, in whose center an ornamental fountain was built decorated with a rearing horse cast in bronze by the sculptor Pepe Noja, then very active in Our city.

The symbolism of the figure is evident, since he tried to pay tribute to this military establishment that for many years raised and tamed race horses right in this enclosure.

En el verano de 1994 se inauguraba el parque de Sementales, situado sobre la antigua huerta de este desaparecido cuartel alcalaíno, en cuyo centro se construyó una fuente ornamental decorada con un caballo encabritado fundido en bronce por el escultor Pepe Noja, por entonces muy activo en nuestra ciudad.

El simbolismo de la figura es evidente, puesto que trataba de rendir homenaje a este establecimiento militar que durante muchos años crió y domó caballos de raza justo en este recinto.

Hello Luis,
It is a very dynamic sculpture. Although the horse's body is quite stylized it's easy to see the strength of this beautiful animal. The artist did a good job and the statues is placed in fine surroundings where the many tones of green of the trees and bushes harmonize well with the bronze of the horse. It's a well composed and nicely cropped photo.

I am really sorry to hear that you cannot go for a walk. This seems a bit excessive but what can we do. I think England may soon introduce stricter measures as soon as the number of deaths gets higher. I suppose I have to enjoy the situation as long as I can.
Nice monument here it is so very dynamic. We have a chance now to browse our archives. The most important is for you to stay healthy.

Luis, este caballo de carreras sobre sus patas traseras es una obra de arte notable esculpida en bronce. Destaca la fuerza y el esplendor del animal. El tamaño de la escultura la hace infalible en este parque. El grafiti del pedestal degrada este monumento publico. Hermosos colores, buen encuadre, una imagen nitida. Saludos cordiales
