Photographer's Note

Another picture from my recent winter trip to Canary Islands… Many people go there from northern Europe to find sun and beaches even in january, february without going too far… But Canary Islands are also a paradise for photography!! Now we are on the island of Fuerteventura, on one of its remotest beaches: playa de Garcey, where this old liner lies from about ten years… During its last travel to demolition the ship went in two parts and one of them lies near the beach offering a spectacular view!! Unfortunately I don’t know much of how this happened, but there are several sites on the Internet about this liner (most of them in german). What I know, is that the trip to reach this scenery is long and hard!! About two kilometers after the small village of Pajara (coming from north and going to south), you must leave the main road for a dirty path of ten kilometers, very dangerous for your car!!
At the end, I think it’s worth!! In this shot I love the sloppy position of the ship and the wave coming to the beach…
Hope you like
