Photographer's Note
I know it´s very unsharp. And that you should follow the object in the same speed that it is moving. Well..
Anyway I think this picture express movement... :)

Shots like these are naturally not sharp given the nature of a running horse. I have seen professional shots like this before.

Lyndia I like the way your ideas about expressing movement have worked out with this shot the sense of speed is nicely portrayed here, your are right a little more sharpening might help ,also some little clone work to the 2 bands that appear over the back of the fine majestic horse would help out with it have done a quick w/s to show you some of my ideas to get more from it, well done for the vision with this one.

I like this horse, even though he is nor sharp we can tell that he is a fast animal and appears to have good form. You are right it expresses movement and it does so in a very noble manner

I think your idea of movement shows very well in this photo.
Your comments about following the subject at the same speed would be good for another try.
I would like to try myself one day. Thanks for the instructions.

It's definitely a nice photo, the blur shows the motion, and the background is good. Try to rest the camera on something like a railing or a table when panning, that might give a little extra sharpness. Although photos like this by definition are blurred, a single small sharp part in the photo can have a tremenduous effect.

Very nice work here, the unclear image really makes you wonder how fast it is really running, very good note, we call it panning the object. It would have been nice to see both. But as someone has said, even proffessionals do these kind of shots.
Well done and thanks for sharing
