Photographer's Note
cruising through canal in malmo.
this picture was taken about mid-day while on a boat moving through the canal.
this is my first photo i posted. i am new to this site and new to photography and would love to get some feedback.
i'm not quite sure what the idea size to post on this site is, the width on this is 400 and height 300. is there an ideal without going over the limits? could use some feedback.
i'm also not quite sure which category this fits in best with.

This looks really nice. Excellent reflections and low point of view. The sharpness looks good and the textures stand out nicely. The duck, the perspective back and the buildings beyond provide a nice movement through the photo. These colors really caught my attention right away, also. Very nice. And the sky captured here is really great. Nicely done. You can go up to a maximum limit of 800 pixels in height or width and a maximum memory size of 200k. I'm sure many more details would stand out at that size. Welcome to TE, JR.

I know this place well, JR, the canal in Malmö just outside the main railway station. You've shot the place in a nice low angle with beautiful colors and a great reflection in the water. The duck is perhaps a bit too off-centered in the frame and rather dark, but as an accent it works well. I agree with Paul about size and details. I don't know your software, but I've done a WS in PS7 showing your image at optimal upload size - have a look. Well done - and welcome to TE - enjoy!
