Photographer's Note
The winter 2012/2013 was a snowy winter in the Uppsala area. A snowy winter can be challenging for roe deers. If snow cover is thick, it could be difficult for roe deers to find food. It is not uncommon in those winters that some animals looks skinny . It can also happen that they starve to death. These roe deers, however, looks healthy and seems to be in good shape after the winter. In winter, roe deers eat much less than in summer 0.5-1.5 kg / day compared to 2-4 kg / day in summer. Roe deers' weight is highest in the late autumn and when spring comes, the fat reserves used up and the weight has dropped significantly. The animals in the background are greylag geese.

Hej Ulf,

Hej Ulf,
Verkligen vackra djur!

Gert

Good evening Ulf,
Fabulous how the Roe-deer was looking at the camera, you probably drew its attention for some reason.
Fine clear photo, favorable light over the pasture.
Nice taken this animals photo.
