Photographer's Note

Walking around in the residential area of Laver gives a feeling of tranquility. Along the gravel roads that once was the little network of street stands row after row, group after group, of several hundred fundations for the houses. The scene is not unlike an overgrown churchyard but on the other hand the repetitions are too perfect and deep down I know that this is just construction junk. But still...

Only the ambulance garage and the school had basement walls, all other buildings were founded on these kind of columns. Today the stand in the pine forest that has taken over since 1947 when the village was mounted down.
