Photographer's Note
Taken at hot air baloon festival at Chateau d' Oex.
This is my fifth time coming to this festival, the first time I went : so many snow, and still completely free, and you can go very near to the balloon.
year after year, the snow decreasing, the number of people coming growing (and many of them with very nice cameras and lenses), and then they start to put fences and charging. You paid but you can not get close :(
well anyway, we keep coming (only absent last year), and luckily the weather was very nice yesterday - people coming not as much as the last time we went here - probably due to pesimistic weather forecast, cloudy and grey in the morning. Every year there are different balloons and participants, but this scottish guy seems always there. A more complete pictures of this guy from this year festival can be found here.. I hope you like it.

Hello Cessy,
Your way adding balloon with its unusual but lovely shape and the building at right is very well balanced. Wonderful blue sky, snowy mountains are very nice.

Hi Cessy,
I was amazed at first, I didn't realize it was a balloon for a moment. Nice picture, very sharp and the beautiful landscape adds value to the overall shot. Nice colours and light as well.
Well done.
Quentin.

Cessssyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !
How comes you went one day too early, I just returned, was there today and looked for you but could not find you, now I know why, I see the bagpiper is on duty everyday, at first glance you managed to find a dynamic angle better than mine, and you have some nice clouds that vanished during the night. I noticed too how little snow there is this year, next year maybe palm trees and balinese dances ???
Have a nice evening JY

Hi Cessy,
Nice shot of this interesting Giant baloon. Your composition and POV are fine showing the cabin from an angle giving us nice depth and detail. The lighting and color are fine with excellent sharpness.
Cheer,
Tola

Hej Cessy,
What a great view. Really funny balloon like a bagpiper! You placed it wonderfully in the landscape. It's a very unexpected subject in this mountain landscape. The weather was very nice. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Hello Cessy,
Un écossais dans le ciel suisse ! Ce joueur de cornemuse semble rendre hommage à nos montagnes dont certaines pourraient ressembler à ses Highlands ! La polarisation du ciel est bien plaçée !
Bien vu !

Wonderful Balloon! Going to CD this Thursday for the closing ceremony, taking the D40 very excited. My dad called me from his mobile yesterday to tell me that he was gently cruising to Gstaad up around 4000m in a ballon ;-)

Hi cessy
Lol at the amusing title. An incongruous sight, above the alpine skies, with excellent colour & sharpness. Terima kasih!

Must be great fun cessy to watch those baloons 'walking' over the mountains. An almost absurd effect from the flying scotsman here - well placed in the compo and what a contrast to the grand nature all around

Hello Cessy
As a descendant from Scotts settlers , I feel kind of proud seeing this bagpipe player dominating the swiss mountains.
You had good weather for your day and the pictures came out well, with a good contrast.
