Photographer's Note
This stunning blue and gold building is St. Michael's Monastery in Kyiv. It's gleaming facade sparkles in the sunlight. The monastery is only five minutes walk from the equally spectacular St. Sophia Cathedral, which can be seen here.

I fairy-like building, could be a great one for a Disney-Park too:-))
Architecture full of details and colours is very nice, also the the same-coloured sky, good shot, Jonathan !

Wow, this is spectacular! The straight on shot gives a sense of perfection and symmetry. The frame filling composition gives a sense of massiveness, permanence, and stability. The blue and white colour of the building matches the sky and clouds, and gives some playfulness. I've seen quite a few pictures of St. Michael's, and this is one of the best.

This photo is incredible. The blue of the sky and facade of the Monastery is one Pantone color! Very Baroque!
Beautiful.

Beautiful photo and such a nice perspective. Marvelous and impressive piece of religious architecture and such vibrant and superb but rather unusual colours for this type of buildings. The building stands very nice against the beautiful blue sky. Well done!

Another impressive photo from you Jonathan. I like the limited colours in this image (White, blue and gold). I also like that you have chosen to fill the frame with only the monastery.
Best Wishes

Another of your colourful shots - this time you have matched the paintwork to the sky. Plus the detail in the gold parts of the building is excellent.

I love this photo. I always have since I first joined TrekEarth. The colors are perfect, the building is beautiful and the photo is crisp and sharp. But the angle always bothered me and tonight I decided to straighten it up. Hope you like it.
