Photographer's Note
Coming from the UK (which has the worst, and nearly the most expensive railways in Europe) it's not hard to be impressed by another country's network. Ukraine, though, easily exceeded all espectations. I'd come Lviv by train from Warsaw, making a connection at Kowel, a small town, but important junction on the main line to Kiev. Wondering what I would find at 7.30 on Sunday morning, I was amazed to find a recently refurbished station, beautifully appointed, and with all facilities. There as an
extensive and clean washroom, which even had electric razor points, a buffet selling very good breakfasts, and a comfortable attractive waiting area. It was also thronging with poeple. An interesting experience for an Englishman was that my trains arrived and left to the minute of the timetable. When I got out in Lviv I was greated by this magnificent station, which even in a city of beautiful buildings, still managed to impress.
There's no reason for the Brazilian film title, other than that it's a movie title that fits.

Even if there is maybe a lack of contrast, I really like the choice of B&W for this photo.
It gives a special ambiance, still accentuated by the old car in the right.
Interesting note too.
Thank you Richard.

Contrast & brightness could be slightly higher, but it could be just a personal choice on my part. Very well composed & effective in b&w.

Nice shot Richard. I agree with Cool-Ice though. I think it would benefit a bit from more contrast and it also seems a bit soft for me.
The composition is good.

very well shot, well centered and also positioned, maybe crop out the cars? But overall very nice shades of black and grey
Well done

Yes, the station looks outstanding with its beautiful architecture, Richard! I am impressed of what you say in your note about the prompt time-table and the cleanliness there. Glad you had such a nice experience. I am not a great fan of railway traveling and usually avoid all type of trains...in Bulgaria ;-)
Very good job in B&W again!

Very good shot Richard. Good overall contrast. Just midtones could be a bit more contrasted but not a problem here as building structure is well rendered. Very good compo with one typical car in front ;-). I've posted a workshop increasing midtones contrast and more deatailed shadows. Tell me what you think.
