Photographer's Note

We were in Britain this past November just when the traditional Guy Fawkes celebrations were being held. Guy Fawkes and a number of others, plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament, but due to a warning, the plot was foiled and Guy Fawkes was caught in the cellars below the parliament buildings with 36 barrels of gunpowder. They were protesting the harsh rules of King James in the early 1600's - against the Roman Catholic followers of the time. Each November on the 5th, bonfires are lit with an effigy of Guy Fawkes set on top. We attended a Firework Display at the seaside at Studland. It was a very good show.
These days, there may be many people who might think that Guy Fawkes had the right idea!! (grin)
I wasn't sure how to capture the effect of fireworks, but balanced my camera on the roof of a parked car, and set the timer to go off in 10 second and crossed my fingers.
