They used to be rare in England but have become quite common in recent years, breeding in the south.

Fledging: 40-45 days
Length: 55-65cm
Wingspan: 88-95cm
Weight: 350-550g
UK breeding: 50 pairs
UK wintering: 1,600 birds
Cropped, framed and run through USM

Nice colors - very cool how you present the egret with just the water (and sky reflections) around and no other scenery. Your note fills in the rest of the "natural habitat".

Still considered a bit of an exotic here in the UK so nice capture pose is good , the white a little over exposed but its always very difficult to get spot on.
