Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

This is the last trio of photographs from the Charity Tractor Rally which travelled around the village. (I have more but don't want to bore people because they aren't very different from what I have shared already.)

This trio was made up of tractors of different sizes but each farmer was incredibly proud to be showing off his special tractor!

I will post two more photographs as workshops. They are all just a little different!

I learned, when speaking to the farmers, that some of them collect tractors, like we might collect art, or books, or stamps! These rallies give them an opportunity to show off different tractors from their collections. (Many of them reach prices well in excess of £100, 000!)

The owners get to show of their tractors, villagers get to watch the parade and local charities receive much needed funding! It's a win, WIN situation!)

Hello Beverley, on seeing your title I was reminded of the tongue twister :- ‘ Red lorry, yellow lorry’, but it doesn’t quite work with red tractor, blue tractor, excuse my sense of humour!
A lovely tight shot where you have cleverly managed to include three different coloured tractors into one frame.
A lovely sunny day that made all the difference to the light.

Hello Bev,
Bright tractors and bright clothes, perfect for a photo rally. I also like how you cropped this so tightly into a bookmark shape. But what kind of a rally is this where nobody is trying to overtake the others? ;-) The 'no hands' WS made me smile. Looking at the clean tyres I realize these tractors probably don't spend much time on muddy fields.

Colors of the different tractors are nice an attractive, but I was fascinated by mostly those relatively-elderly guys driving, they look happy and content proud to be there.

Hello Beverley,
I really like the narrow vertical composition here, which shows the three tractors in the British (and Dutch) colours very nicely in a row. The sunlight helped to show the colours at their best, also the yellow vests of the owners. Well done.

I read by Gert that you missing the most beautiful tractor, an old exemplar.
A pity I can not see each brand of tractors, every years get we also a show with old tractors, I find this always very fine.
Composition and presentation are excellent.

Hi Bev,
Red Massey-Ferguson, blue Fordson, white David Brown. It was fun to use google image search to get confirmation to my guesses. The colours are typical for each brand. Good tight portrait framing. Impressions of drivers show concentration.

Hello Beverley,
It's nice that these tractors ride together. Together they have the colours of the Union Jack.
I hope that the 'Look! No hands'-man made it to the finish line. Hopefully he didn't run into too many acquaintances.
But that's the best photo for me.

Hi Bev,
Interesting and original series with these tractors, a lot of old cars and cabriolets presented on TE but not often tractors ! Nice light, just a bit pity that the face of the driver was masked by the vertical tube in the Fg, a detail, tfs.

Hello Bev,

Effective tight framing with the blue tractor bringing up the rear to the fg red tractor. Good sharpness and the driver seems more focused on where he is driving rather than the photographer. Which is generally a good thing! Tfs!

They cleaned the machines for the parade. Nice samples of old Nd modern tractors, beautiful images full of life and movement.
Today i am in central brazil, in a town founded in 1989.

After a few days on the island of Lanzarote, and then others of tourism here in Madrid, accompanying some friends from Barcelona, I am back in good spirits, with all of you.

An original sequence with these photos of the tractor rally, an original event, welcome whenever it is for the distraction of participants and the public and if it also helps socially, then everything is perfect.
