Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

This is a photograph that I was going to post last year when I was searching, with my neighbour's child, for a view of Santa. But, I didn't have sufficient time to post it so, a year late, here it is.

The sky was turning red but no sign of a sleigh.
He wondered if the red was a guide to the reindeer ... possibly!

The recent snow has melted now but the weather is turning very cold again! I hope you are all well and thank you for your interest, Bev :-)

A very interesting view.
Bare trees and the beautiful color of the sky are the advantages of this photo.

Hello Bev,
Better late than never, this photo really deserves to be seen. It is a marvellous picture with these intense sky colours and the silhouettes of trees. The street sign (I think) is a small but fine eye-catcher. Enlarging the photo quite a lot I see how very sharp and well exposed it is, in spite of the limited llight.

Hi Bev,

I like the play between the lighted and shadowed areas. The point of view is showing the details of the clouds. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky. Have a nice day.

Hidden in your archive for almost a year, Beverley, such a stunning red sky when the sun last rays painted the overhead clouds.
Perfect silhouette of the trees and the slope in contrast.

Hello Bev,

On picture there is no date, one year or ten year, only the quality is important.
If contrast picture is this picture very nice.
I think that we yet must wait on the reindeer and his sleigh.
I hope that the cold weather remain in your country, not coming to Belgium.
Nice composition pleasant presentation too.

Hello Beverley, a lovely sunset.
We have had a few beautiful sunsets recently, but I haven’t been in the right place to get a decent shot.
The silhouetted trees are perfectly placed in your composition.
The colours of the sunset are delightful.

Beautifully presented with the slightly undulating terrain and the silhouettes of the trees.
I like the frame also.
But I cannot find the Santa ...

I'm pretty sure that Santa is just behind those beautifully coloured sunset clouds and would have appeared on the left just after you gave up looking. Great silhouetted trees.

Wow this is a spectacular scene. It was a very fruitful walk. Maybe you didn't spot Santa but the sky was marvellous and you have recorded it perfectly. Nice use of the trees on the horizon, they provide photogenic silhouettes.

A spectacular sky with that dominant pink, magnificent framing against the backlight of the trees and the soft hill.

a nice view using well the beautiful shapes of the trees as a element more to the colors in the sky.
here another very hot, sunny and dry day. plantations are crazy waiting for a drop of rain, when I was in the rural road my tire was perforated by a stone, I was there, in the middle of the red dust, under the hard sun and I took some time to understand how to remove my tire, haha...

... don't be disheartened , you still have a chance this year !
This time look for a white reindeer under a full moon ... you might get a glimpse of Santa whooshing by :-)
No sighting of Santa ... but you've such a beautiful 'Christmas Eve' sunset. You've done Santa proud with this simplicity shot - joyful and warmth.
Thanks for 'unwrapping' a year stored photo ... a Christmas gift , better late than never :-)
