Photographer's Note
Still on the same walk as my last 2 posts we had arrived at the village of Commondale. A few years ago the landlord of the Cleveland Inn made some small fishing lakes behind the pub. I don’t know what happened but they are not used now and are overgrown, mainly with gorse bushes as you can see from this photo. I was particularly struck by the strong yellow and the reflections.
Still experimenting with RAW conversion

Hi Kath.
Finally it was a good thing that these small lakes were not used anymore and that the gorse bushes grow this because it allowed you to capture this beautiful and colorful picture. These plants really put the composition "on fire"
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kath,
Well, it is a striking image, that's for sure. And again, I find it interestingly diferent from your previous ones, considering that it's in the same place. I like the composition and the dephness, with these two levels of the yellow flowers and the reflections in the midle. The green background also makes a pleasant contrast.

Hi Kath.
The colour is main protagonist of the photo. Also there is a good composition and looks a nice place.
Perhaps a simple photo, but very attractive.

Hello Kath,
not very easy to find a place at the water to fish because of those yellow bushes. I don't really know that RAW thing, but I think the picture isn't bad at all.

Luc.

Hi Kath,
A nice compo with these great vivid colors all over !
Nice yellow foreground, then the water with its more orange reflection, another layer of darker yellow and BG of green trees with some white flowers... truly beautiful! Excellent sharpness too.. A photo with a feminine touch!!
Very well done

Bonjour Kath,
des couleurs chaudes et un tout petit étang qui se borde d'une végétation abondante.
Une jolie photo mais qui manquerait un peu de netteté je pense.
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Hej Kath,
The yellow of the flowers is very attractive and I like the division between the yellow in the bottom of the shot and the green in top. The reflections in the water are fine too, well done!

Hi Kath
Great colours, and strong impact from this close composition. The reflections are well captured and the trees and greenery in the background act as a good contrast to balance the scene. The circular nature of the composition helps to bind it in as well. Good work.

Hi Kath,
the picture has an intense atmosphere because of the strong colours that dominate it.
The yellow is overwhelming.
Thanks and regards, gerrit
