Photographer's Note
This is the third photo from the Daffodil Walk at Farndale in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The daffodils are wild and it is thought 50,000 visitors come each April to see them. The river you can see is the River Dove. More information can be found here
I wander’d lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
(from Daffodils (1804) by William Wordsworth (1770-1850).)

Hi Kath, very pretty composition by the river. I like the diagonal of the water - and the ripples. The flowers are beautiful, they look delicate and shy; thanks for the poem, actually the flowers made me think about this one in the dialect of that area: the're cahrin' theeare on t'grahnd, as weak as watter, an' all of a dither, t'Angil says tul 'em: Nay, there's nowt ter bi affeared on... Thanks for sharing! Daniel

Daffodils are very typical for this part of the year and very attractive too. You captured them well with a good perspective and composition with the leaning tree in the background.
Good job!

Hi Kath,
This is my favorite so far of your daffodil photos, I think because of the way you've framed the sharp contrast of the deilcate flowers, the rough tree bark and the rippling water.

Hi Kath
Nice details here. I like the capture of the moss on the tree stump, the details in the daffs and the sharpness of resolution in the grass. Nice colouring too, especially from the flowing water. Nice capture.

Hi Kath,
I like this compo a lot. You've combined the main beautiful elements of nature - flowers, trees, grass and most importantly the water - in a nice tight frame. Details and sharpness is good.
The water 'cools' down the colours of the image and make the picture more pleasant to my eyes. you've conveyed a very calm atmosphere and I enjoy it very much.
Have a nice weekend,

Hi Kath. This is a well seen close composition with good sharpness too. I might have been tempted to get even closer to those flowers. Good one Kath.

Good closeup shot Kath of the beautiful flowers with added interest of the river..the branch of the leaning tree is important here. Well done

Classic image of early spring (those daffodils bloomed in February here!). Nice POV with the water nearby.
My hard drive crashed and I lost 3 years' of photos, including all my my 3-year-old daughter's childhood. Geek Squad was able to retrieve them for $519! Thank God! New hard drive installed so I'm back on the Trek sites now.
